Where to go with a car in Kallithea
Rhodes Town, Faliraki and Anthony Quinn Bay can all be reached in under 15 minutes by car from Kallithea – so you should definitely put these on your list.
- Heading north, Rhodes Old Town offers incredible history in its cobbled streets and ancient squares, while outside its walls the modern town, Rhodes’ capital, provides all the shopping you could need along with plenty more cafes and restaurants.
- Faliraki, slightly below Kallithea on the east coast, is a popular resort with both families and young people, making for a vibrant atmosphere. Just outside it you’ll also find Anthony Quinn Bay– one of Rhodes’ best beaches, this beautiful spot made our list of our island’s top beaches to visit with parking.
- Heading slightly further afield, the beautiful Afandou, a traditional Greek village, can be reached in under 20 minutes from Kallithea. But if you fancy a longer road trip down the east coast, drive down to Lindos, famous for its winding alleys and iconic white villas (45 minutes), or all the way down to Prasonisi on the very southern tip of Rhodes (1 hour 20 minutes).

Yes – there’s a large, free car park right in front of the entrance to Kallithea Springs. In peak season, the car park can get busy, so aim to arrive early (before 10am) or use the Tassos (Kokkina) Beach car park slightly further away.
Is there parking at Kallithea Beach?
There’s on-street parking on the roads behind Kallithea Beach. As with Kallithea Springs, be prepared to get there early for a space if you’re visiting in peak season!
