City of Rhodes

The City of Rhodes, the capital of the island and the compartment of the Dodecanese, is built at the northern end of the island in an area which is residential since the ancient times. The face of the city has been affected because of the conquerors that dominated the island every now and then. It's a cosmic, contemporary and romantic city.

Ixia

Leaving the city of Rhodes and heading northwest you come across the cosmopolitan Ixia. It is one of the most popular resorts of Rhodes. Its feature is the extended sand beach and the great hotels which are built along the beach road.

Ialyssos

Next, we come across Ialyssos, which maintains its name from the antiquity. Here the enormous hotel facilities impress the visitor, like the splendid beach of the area which is famous for its natural beauty. The area has also archaeological interest.

The Valley of Butterflies

Leaving the seaside areas for a while and head to the mainland, we come across the picturesque villages Pastida and Maritsa, reaching eventually the Valley of Butterflies. It is a rare sample of beauty of the island. A majestic valley full of plants and trees, streams and infinite number of butterflies that during the summer inundate the area and offer a unique spectacle.

Ladikos beach

Ladikos is one of the most beautiful seashores of the island, which became famous through the movie "The Guns of Navarone" with Anthony Quinn.

Lindos

In the south part of Rhodes at a distance of 50 kilometres from the City of Rhodes we come across Lindos. The prominent Acropolis of Lindos and the remnants of the Temple of Athena that gaze the sea, dominate at the top of the hill.

It is located at the heart of the city, next to the sea. An amazing environment to enjoy your coffee, drink and food. Lovely atmosphere with a view of the sea, the port and the lighthouse.

Agathi

A charming cove, 38 kilometres away from the city of Rhodes, on your way to Charaki you turn right. It is one of the most beautiful beaches with white and soft sand, as well as crystal clear waters. It is organizes with sun beds and umbrellas, where on the site of the beach there is a beach bar operating.

The Old Town

In the old town one can enjoy a lot of things, like the Palace of the Grand Master, the Suleiman's Mosque, the street of the Knights with the grotesque gates and many more. Back to the past!

Archaeological Museum

It is neat the port of the city of Rhodes and it is housed at a Medieval building of 1489 with two floors, which was used as the hospital of the Knights. There you can enjoy amazing sculptures, statues and pottery.
